Can you believe that it was just about this time last year that we all gathered at Café Aion on the Hill to officially kick-off the ASSETT Innovation Incubator? Boy, do we wish we could gather the community together in-person now. It would be really great to see each and every one of you!
On that note, we want to start making you and your work in the incubator visible. In lieu of recreating the canceled live EMERGE event on Zoom, our team is exploring alternative platforms for bringing your voices and your incubator projects to a wider audience. In early November, we will connect with each of you individually, or in small groups, to plan how we might produce a podcast, an on-demand video, a live chat, or other virtual offerings of your work. Use your imagination to think of unique and engaging ways to produce and share about your project through an enduring pandemic — we just might be able to help make that happen!
- Recently, Student Success team member Michaele Ferguson (PSCI) was interviewed for the CU at the Libraries podcast on Information and Media Literacy in 2020.
- If the upcoming election is being raised with students in your courses, this podcast provides useful resources for navigating election related news.
- Another podcast to check out is Teaching in Higher Ed where a CU Boulder graduate and Digital Pedagogy Lab co-founder, Jesse Stommel, was recently interviewed on How to Be Together in Online Learning.
- In this warm and friendly interview, Jesse traverses topics ranging from the privilege of resilience to embodiment in the classroom.
Finally, and importantly, at the one-year mark of the ASSETT Innovation Incubator, we are seeking your input on the structure and the offerings of this pilot program. It should take no more than 5-10 minutes of your time to respond to this brief and anonymous survey, please do so by Friday, November 6th.
Take care and stay safe and healthy!
